                       Beyonce's a star!

We're sticking with a search for some betting value with our Brisbane headline special this week and once again, we've come up with an eachwayer which we reckon is over the odds in the last race of the day.

We're sure that if Beyonce's Star can run up to her recent Brisbane form, then she's going to give a great sight tomorrow.

She's had three Queensland runs this preparation, the first at the Sunshine Coast over 1200 metres where she came from well back to score in the last stride.

She followed that up with a great run in the listed Waterhouse Classic at Ipswich where she led up a hot field and looked to be home before going under by a length to Kryptelon.

She ran another second last start when beaten on protest by Tobouggie Woogie in a 1400 metres fillies and mares open race at Sunshine Coast. Tobouggie Woogie made that form look good by winning in town again last Saturday.

We're predicting that the eleven barrier won't be a problem and that the mare has the speed to easily cross and lead them. Let's hope that her price holds up a bit better than Blazing Heart's price last week.

Our Sydney headline tip Offhanded looks to be our best tomorrow. The Darley 3yo is unbeaten in two previous second-up runs and has excellent wet-track form. Unfortunately the odds are likely to be short.

This week's headline specials

Beyonce's Star (Eagle Farm race 8)
Broadcast
 (Moonee Valley race 1)
Offhanded (Randwick race 8)

         Whisper horses keep winning!

Horsetorque's Gavin Haynes kept his hot, hot, hot streak going last week when Streetcar Magic ($2 top fluc) made it an incredible twelve wins from his last fifteen VIP tips.

And the Mug Punter broke his recent frustrating run of placings when Diggers and Dealers ($6.50 top fluc) led all the way at Caulfield.

Incidentally, the Mug suggests that you stay on the trail of his Sydney value tip from last week, the WA visitor Spirited One who met with good support in the betting ring at double figures before having trouble getting clear in the straight to get to the line strongly.

Two of our three headline specials ran placings last week, including Sydney plunge horse Adnocon who was a big go, shortening from $7 into $4.

Lindsay will resume his popular lays segment when the spring racing resumes down south.

                   Das Machen to atone!

Just touched out by Viking Turf Belle last start, Das Matchen can bounce back to the winner's list tomorrow, says dynamic tipping guru Gavin Haynes from Horsetorque

DAS MACHEN (race 5 Moonee Valley) has been a model of consistency and has the numbers of a good horse.

Rock-hard fit, drawn to get the run of the race from the five gate, in super after the claim for an in-form young hoop and ready for the step up in trip (a distance he has won two from three at) and never out of the quinella here at Moonee Valley.

Looks  a great value bet at $3.50 pre-post for mine.

Much to love about this one!

He's sticking to the mile form again this week with the Mug predicting that How Much My Love represents enticing eachway value in the listed Tattersall's Mile at Eagle Farm.

The Mug tipped  this promising Danny Williams-trained 4yo when he was well-backed to score at his first Brisbane start over 1400 metres at Eagle Farm on 1 May.

The horse didn't appear for another two months when he jumped in class to contest the listed Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast where he missed the kick before working home well in the straight to finish four lengths behind Woorim.

It's reasonable to assume he'll derive benefit from that run for tomorrow's mile start, a distance at which he has two wins and two placings from six previous starts.

The Mug can see How Much My Love getting a nice run off the speed in tomorrow's small field and will be very surprised if the horse is not there at the business end of the race.

The Mug feels that Purettan is another lightly-raced improver with strong fresh form whom he is predicting can show up off a five-week break in race 6 at Randwick tomorrow.

The 3yo was checked in the straight last start behind Rokatoko on Ipswich Cup day.

His previous efforts were very strong, including a close third to Tierqualo in a listed 1350 metre race at Doomben on 17 April and a 3.5 length sixth behind Stryker, Happy Hippy and Graceful Anna in the group 3 BTC Classic.

Purettan has excellent fresh form and handles the wet. At around double figure odds, he represents worthwhile value.

Sticking with the lightly-raced improver theme, the Mug is anticipating an improved showing from the Patinack horse Frustrating in race three at Moonee Valley tomorrow.

The 3yo Stravinsky filly won an Eagle Farm maiden last November and has had two recent Melbourne runs off a six-month spell.

She ran a close second first-up behind Happy Angel over 1000 metres at Moonee Valley on a slow track before a 1.3 length fourth to Testapal on a very heavy track at Sandown when she raced forward.

The Mug is predicting she'll race handy from the rails tomorrow and represents good eachway value at around a double-figure quote.
