Wish upon a star!
We're confident that it's much more than just a case of wishful thinking with our Brisbane headline special Starstreamed in race 4 at Doomben tomorrow.
What impeccable credentials held by this 2yo son of former local and later international star Starcraft.
Starstreamed stamped himself as a future topliner at his first start when he finished strongly for second to subsequent Magic Millions winner Military Rose. He scored at his next start after a break and then resumed recently for a screaming second to Spirit of Boom over 1000 metres on a slow track at Eagle Farm three weeks' ago.
Spirit of Boom has confirmed that form by winning again and we reckon the step up to 1200 metres tomorrow will be enough to put Starstreamed back into the winners list to continue the excellent winning run of our Brisbane headline specials.
Graceful Anna ($3) continued the recent winning streak of our Brisbane headline specials last week with a dominant win in the Silk Stocking. She's set for a very profitable Winter here in Brisbane and we suggest you just keep following her.
This week's headline specials
Starstreamed (Doomben race 4)
Mascareri (Randwick race 7)
Mr Chard (Flemington race 3)

Lindsay's Lay of the Day
Oh boy, the racetrack's the toughest battle ground of all. Last Saturday at around 3:50 Lindsay was curling the mo and walking with a swagger when he managed to get the shortest priced runner of the day Road To Rock beaten at the Gold Coast as his lay of the day.
Ten minutes later, he was back to vicious racecourse reality when his other lay Skytrain enjoyed the cushiest run of the day in the slipstream of his stablemate to just fall in in Sydney. From penthouse to outhouse, just like that.
But he's as fearless as ever again tomorrow with a knock for the so-called super mare Ortensia at Doomben.
This week's lays are:
Doomben race 7: Ortensia
Randwick race 4: Stage Performer

Throw yourself into this one!
He missed out on four in a row when Undeniably went over last week, but Horsetorque's Gavin Haynes is confident of a return to winning form with Catapulted at Flemington tomorrow.
CATAPULTED (Flemington race 5) is a most promising galloper and has run some very slick times of late. He rated an impressive 111 at the end of last campaign and then resumed with a career peak 116, the numbers of a very talented and speedy customer.
He was not disgraced last start when runner up in G1 company, especially as he was coming off a huge new peak. He drops back to Listed company tomorrow, should relish the straight six and is drawn nicely to come down the outside fence. Throw in Michael Rodd and the Kavanagh polish and you have all the ingredients of a strong betting proposition
He's the bet of the day, for mine.

One day she'll be famous!
He can do no wrong lately, with headline horse Informality landing the big plonk in Sydney for the Mug last week. He's chancing his arm a bit in the big sprint at Doomben tomorrow but is confident that Set for Fame will set herself on a path to Winter glory with her performance in the BTC Cup.
It's a big call, but the Mug reckons that Set For Fame might just be the country's best filly and if he's anywhere near right then you've just got to have something on her at her double-figure quote in the extremely competitive BTC Cup.
There doesn't look to be a lot of speed in tomorrow's race so the Mug reckons that makes the favourite Ortensia a risk. And he does remember vividly Set For Fame leading all the way to bolt in first-up in a listed race at Caulfield earlier this year. Maybe she'll lead tomorrow too, or at the very least be very handy in a race that is likely to suit those near the lead.
Set For Fame's recent Sydney stint was curtailled when she came down with a virus, so the Mug suggests you forget her last run.
She's a super filly fresh, so the six weeks' off will not be a problem and with two wins and a second from her three 1200 metre starts, the Mug is confident she is a strong knock-out chance tomorrow at liberal odds.
The Mug's taking a big risk in Sydney tomorrow by tipping one that's first-up over a mile. But he likes David Payne as a trainer and is confident that Big Red Cat won't turn out to be a pussy in tomorrow's event.
The Catbird gelding has a fifty percent winning record over the mile with two wins from four tries, including a win over the Randwick mile. He's a good horse fresh with a win and a second from three first-up runs.
Importantly, says the Mug, the horse races best when in or near the lead and from his good draw in tomorrow's field, the Mug is confident that the race will be run to suit him.
Yes, there are risks involved here tomorrow but at the current $20+ quote, the Mug's happy to have a little gamble.
In Melbourne, the Mug reckons that Down Under Boy is cherry ripe to score at decent odds in the last.
He's raced very consistently at his first three starts (all over a mile) this preparation and was then a certainity beaten when blocked for a run last start when stepped up to the 1800 metres.
He's to the 1800 metres again at Flemington tomorrow, a course over which he's won previously and the Mug will be very surprised if he doesn't come close to sending you home from the track with something in your pocket.
