This week's free bet winner is:

Trevor Miller

(Gold Coast R5)

Good luck, Trevor!

The Mug Punter's value tips

 Tierqualo
(Gold Coast R6)

Informality
(Rosehill  R5)

   Assessed

      (Flemington R7)

                Be grateful for Graceful!

With five wins and two placings from seven starts, it's not too often that a horse with Graceful Anna's record comes along and we reckon she'll be adding to it big time when she contests the Silk Stocking (race 5) at the Gold Coast tomorrow.

We tipped her here a fortnight ago when she resumed for a 1.9 length third behind Temple of Boom over 1000 metres at Eagle Farm on 24 April with the proviso that you stay with her if she went under on that occasion.

She was always going to be vulnerable over the 1000 metres on the heavy track that day, but we thought her run was terrific. She uncharacteristically got well back, obviously didn't handle the going but kept coming tenaciously to the line when lesser conveyances would have just plodded.

She'll be suited by the step up to 1200 metres tomorrow, a distance at which she has won her only previous start. She's also won her only previous run at the tightly turning Gold Coast track.

Incidentally, we'd suggest you keep your guard up tomorrow by not being sucked into get-back, run-on horses at short prices in big fields on this tight track. There can be a big difference in what it takes to win at the Gold Coast compared with Randwick!

We predict that Graceful Anna will get a glorious run tomorrow perched in behind the speed and will finish over the top of them to maintain her unbeaten record at the track.

Ghetto Blaster ($4) did the right thing by our headline specials last week with a dominant win in Brisbane. Our southern headline specials are struggling a bit; just make sure you're with us when they kick back.

Although he hates the attention and doesn't want us to jinx him by highlighting how well he's going, the Mug Punter took it to five winning weeks in a row last week when Snow Alert ($7) and How Much My Love ($5.50) both scored.
Well done, ol' fella, chasing winners with a bit of odds about them isn't the easiest gig in town.

This week's headline specials

Graceful Anna (Gold Coast race 5)
Music Review (Rosehill race 6)
Hawks Bay (Flemington race 4)

               Lindsay's Lay of the Day

His birthday luck held last week with both Renaissance and Mentality biting the dust.

He's stepping right up to the mark tomorrow by raising some doubts about the value of hot-pot Road To Rock in the Hollindale. Time will tell!

This week's lays are:

Gold Coast race 7: Road To Rock

Rosehill race 7: Skytrain

Don't say "no" to this one!

Horsetorque's Gavin Haynes is coming off a winning hat-trick with the win of Pinwheel last week, and he's keen to chalk up another big winning sequence for his VIP followers that includes Undeniably at Flemington tomorrow.

UNDENIABLY (Flemington race 3) has been nothing but impressive in his five starts to date. He should have won three starts back when a moral beaten, before going to SA for an easy three length kill and then resuming with a strong win in slick time.

He has the  Kavanagh polish, is drawn to get the run of the race and the claim for a handy young hoop is an astute
one.

Is a galloper going places, for mine.

Informality just a formality, says the Mug!

Buoyed with his recent hot run, the Mug Punter is confidently predicting that Informality will recover from a seemingly disappointing run last start to bounce back with a win in the fifth race at Rosehill tomorrow.

With five wins from twelve starts, the John O'shea-trained Informality is a smart neddie and the Mug is predicting that a drop back in class tomorrow from listed company at his previous start will bring about sharp improvement.

Throw in the 1.5kg weight drop into weaker company virtue of the claim for the Mug's pin-up jock Tim Bell and you'll understand why the Mug is chortling over this one.

Informality loves Rosehill with two wins from three starts at the track and he should be cherry ripe for the step up to 1400 metres (two previous runs at the trip for a win and a third) at his third run from a spell.

May the good times keep a-rollin' with this one, says the Mug.

The Mug is also keen on Tierqualo in race 6 at the Gold Coast tomorrow. Maybe the money is talking a little with the Mug having been confidently on at both of the horse's wins since resuming.

But Tierqualo confirmed his above-average status when he did it at both ends of the race to score from a wide barrier last start in a listed 3yo race at Doomben on 17 April.

His racing style will suit the tight Gold Coast circuit and the Mug can see him getting the run of the race near the lead from his good draw. Sure to be a great eachway chance at around his current double eachway odds, says the Mug.

The Mug has thrown in one at around $20 for his Melbourne value selection where he's hoping that the lightly-raced Assessed in race 7 can continue with the improvement he's made at each of his three starts so far.

The Danny O'Brien-trained 3yo lead all the way for an impressive win in a Geelong 1726 metre maiden last start. He's up to 2000 metres tomorrow and on the strength of his last-start effort, the Mug will be very surprised if the current big odds hold up.
