THE MONDAY REPORT

The Doomben Betting Report - Saturday 5 December 2009

Race 1 - Humma $2.80, Showciti $11.00 and Sir Kingsford $5.50

The first race was won by the favourite Humma and he was well backed. Whilst he eased
late to run at $2.80, there was good money for him during betting and I laid some big
bets on him.

Money came for Danardos again and he was heavily backed on the phones, so you could
lay the two runners and as one of the two won the race, bookies kicked off on the
wrong leg.

Race 2 - Raise Up $3.30, Seven Wonders $3.60 and High Chancellor $21.00

The two best backed runners here were Raise Up and Seven Wonders and they finished up
running the quinella.

Big Ken The Celt was a query runner, but no money arrived for him. He actually raced
wide and I thought the run was okay.

Overall though, the betting on the race would best be described as lacklustre - as
punters understandably couldn't get excited about a race with only seven runners,
which included three first starters.

Race 3 - Seesawing $3.50, Athena's Gift $17.00 and Dubai To Sydney $3.50

There was money for this winner Seesawing at $3.50, but not big money.

The best backed runner in the race was interstate visitor Dubai To Sydney and he
firmed from $3.70 into $3.50. There were several bets of $3,000 and $4,000 along the
rails for him.

Really Wicked was backed late on the phones at $4.60, so you could lay the three
runners, but one of them just got home, so as a bookmaker you could win or lose on
the race.

Race 4 - Crystal Honour $12.00, Dusty's Felt $7.50 and Bella Sirena $6.50

Bella Sirena was well backed in this race at $7.50 and she firmed in to run $6.50 as
post time.

The topweight Fantastic Blue attracted an avalanche of support and the biggest single
bet I laid against him took out $40,000 at $6.

Coroner was also heavily backed and he took out $15,000 in one bet at $6.

There was also money around the ring for Millenium Hawk, so they backed a few in the
race, but there was no money for the winner Crystal Honour, so even though it was a
wide betting race and it was $5 the field, it was a winning race.

Race 5 - Soulima $9.50, Proscenium Arch $10.00 and Lucky Omens $7.00

While this winner Soulima started at $9.50, you can take it from me that he was one
of the best goes of the day in the Doomben ring. Money started coming for the horse
on the phones at $12 and I laid him late in betting to lose $50,000 in one bet, so it
was a nasty result.

Brettoneux was friendless and drifted in the market.

Charter Boat was well backed during betting and the biggest single bet I laid on him
was $5,000 at $6 - but there were a host of other bets on the galloper.

I laid last start Murwillumbah winner Blinkin Easy to lose $40,000 in one bet, so
they backed a few in the race, but the winner was a wipe out.

Race 6 - Swiss Rose $10.00, Madeittothemoon $11.00 and Moama $5.00

Punters only warmed to a couple of runners in this race, with Moama being the best
backed runner. She attracted consistent support right throughout betting and the
biggest single bet I laid on her was $5,000 at $6.50 and she firmed right in to $5
just before they jumped.

Emma's Heart was backed late in betting at $5.50 and really they were the only two
fillies that you could lay for good money in the race, so we got a result when Swiss
Rose
arrived.

Race 7 - Burdekin Blues $3.20, Zero Rock $7.50 and Forestreno $15.00

$3.40 was given about this winner Burdekin Blues and money came for him late on the
phones at that price and he ran marginally shorter at $3.20.

Zero Rock was well backed and had she won it would have been no good, as in one bet
alone at an $8 quote, she took out $40,000.

Sydney money arrived on the phones for Kenny's World with a string of $1,000 to
$3,000 bets laid against him.

Eire Of Magic was specked on course and Black Prince attracted phone support from
Sydney.

The topweight The Jackal was hard to lay, so it finished up a very good betting race
and from a bookmakers' perspective it depended on what you did with Burdekin Blues as
to whether you won or lost on the race. Personally, I won on it.

Race 8 - Baqaba $4.00, Leapfrog $16.00 and Gag Order $6.00

This winner Baqaba was well backed and firmed from $5.50 to run $4. He was backed by
both rank-and-file on course punters and via the telephones, so his win gave
bookmakers a bad result.

I laid Pride Of Power to lose $20,000 in one bet and Sydney visitor Let Me Adam took
out the same amount in one bet.

Gag Order was specked.

The last race was a bad result and capped off a losing day for bookmakers.

I'm also pleased to report that we are running third Australia wide on our Weekend Whisper
tips, via my VIP club, so we are probably tipping winners better than anyone in
Australia and readers can go to the website that is monitoring the tips -
www.thegreattipoff.com - and see the results for themselves.

Lindsay will be fielding this week back at Doomben on Wednesday, Ipswich on Thursday,
Eagle Farm on Saturday and the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.
