Viva Visa Lisa!
With Jasminka doing the job in impressive style as our Brisbane headline special last week, we're chasing a bit of eachway value tomorrow with southern visitor Visa Lisa.
These big prizemoney fillies and mares races in Brisbane inevitably bring together highly competitive fields and tomorrow's race (race 7) is no exception. However, there's plenty to like about the prospects of Visa Lisa and at around an eachway quote, we'll be surprised if you don't get a good run for your money.
For starters, she's trained by Newcastle mentor Kris Lees who is building an enviable record on his hit and run missions to Brisbane. As well, Visa Lisa will be ridden by Larry Cassidy and there's no local jockey that we would rather have on our selection.
Visa Lisa resumed recently at Randwick where she enjoyed a nice run in transit to work home strongly for a 1.25 length fifth to Dorf Command over 1100 metres.
She'll be suited by the step up to 1200 metres tomorrow, a distance at which she boasts an imposing 50% winning record with four wins from eight tries at the distance.
And importantly, she should improve condition wise at her second run from a spell, bearing in mind that she has a strong second-up record of a win and two seconds from four second-up efforts.
And she's just so nicely in at the weights on the minimum in tomorrow's set weight feature. Take a look at how she's advantaged when compared to the weight allocated to fellow southern visitor Eripsni, for example.
They met last start when Eripsni carried 51.5kg to finish a length in front of Visa Lisa who carried 56kg. In tomorrow's race, they carry the same weight, giving Visa Lisa a 4.5kg turnaround in her favour.
Our interstate headline specials for this week are Its Prince (race 5 Moonee Valley) and Latin News (race 7 Randwick).
Super Spring Second Chance
Each week, we'll nominate a Brisbane race where for all win bets up to $100, if your horse runs second, Lindsay will give you a free win bet of the same value in the last Brisbane race.
For tomorrow's racing, you will earn your free bet if your horse runs second in Brisbane race 5 (for win bets up to $100).
If you're at the track, keep your losing ticket and present it when you have your free win bet to the same value in Brisbane race 8. Phone bettors just need to ring in and identify yourself to receive your free bet in race 8. Good luck to those second-place getters in race 5 tomorrow. Let's hope you can go one better with Lindsay's money in race 8!
Lindsay's Lay of the Day
Both lays bit the dust last week.
Randwick race 8: Hussenor
Moonee Valley race 3: Better be the One

It'll be a scramblino for Amberino!
He bounced back with a vengeance last week with the impressive Fifteen Carat and Horsetorque's Gavin Haynes reckons you shouldn't dally in getting your money on this week's VIP special at Moonee Valley.
AMBERINO (Moonee Valley race 7) is a classy mare on her day, having won in group 2 company in Sydney last time in.
She drops back to open mares grade here following good efforts in listed company at her past two starts.
She's drawn to get the perfect trail behind the speed from the one gate, Ollie rides, she has won four from nine here at Moonee Valley, including at this trip and looks well in with 57kg.
She ticks all the boxes, for mine.

Go, go Gobou!
The Mug grew up in the bush and to this day, he remains partial to a well-performed country prospect who might be able to come to town and give the city slickers a run for their money.
And he reckons he's found just such a prospect in Rocky visitor Gobou in the 1200 metre country Cup (race 6) at Eagle Farm tomorrow.
He boasts seven wins and a second from just eight starts, and the Mug reckons Pengelly will give him the run of the race from barrier two.
The horse won't know himself with just 54.5kg on his back after regularly carrying weights of around 59kg to victory up north.
Gobou is unbeaten at the distance and has an excellent second-up record. The Mug reckons it'll be another one for the good ol' country boys tomorrow.
In Sydney, the Mug is anticipating the Waller-trained Bright Mind to bounce back to form at double-figure odds in race 2 at Randwick tomorrow.
There was smoke last start at the horse's third run from a spell when he shortened from $21 into $14 before the jockey went for home miles too early.
Bright Mind has great stats for this race, with a record of one from two at Randwick and two wins and a placing from just four tries at the 2400 metre distance. He's a winner of his only start at the track and distance.
Get on as soon as you can, says the Mug, because he can't see the double figures holding up.
In Melbourne, the Mug's value bet is Belscenica in race 4 at Moonee Valley.
He was impressed with this mare's win at Moonee Valley last start when she sat behind the speed to power strongly to the line over 1600 metres.
The Mug feels she'll get an identical run tomorrow and although she's untried over the 2040 metre distance, she ran well over 1800 metres earlier in her career, suggesting the distance might not be a problem.
The Mug notes that two of his recent tips who didn't fire, Causeway Queen and Fire Vain reappear in race 7 at Moonee Valley tomorrow.
He's already had something on Causeway Queen at $14; remember she can produce a form reversal big time, says the Mug.
He'll also save on Fire Vain. Last week the Mug got on at $51 to see her shorten into $21 overnight. She then shortened at the track on race day from $20 into $14 and could well be worth throwing into your exotics tomorrow.
