Meet Lindsay Gallagher

Lindsay is Brisbane's leading rails bookmaker, renowned as an "opinion" bookmaker who is not afraid to put his money where his opinion is. Lindsay has been bookmaking for thirty years, with twenty-seven of those having been spent on the rails. When he was elevated to the rails twenty-seven years ago, he was the youngest rails bookie at a time when the number of bookies and their clerks on the course probably outnumbered the total crowd that turns up at many race meetings today.

He has long held a high profile among Brisbane bookmakers and is currently the president of the Brisbane Bookmakers Association and a member of the executive of the Queensland Bookmakers Association. He is also a life member of the Tattersalls Racing Club.
